Proof66 Notes

Chatueau de Laubade was founded in 1870 by the Lesgourgest family who began expanding their ownership of wineries and distilleries in the region beginning in 1974 under the Vignobles Lesgourges name, when they first purchased 100 hectares in the Bas Armagnac region. The company remains family owned and independent to this day. Chateau de Laubade today owns 105 hectares of their own vineyards, distills their own product in a traditional alambic pot still, and ages using barrels made by their own cooper from selected trees.
