Proof66 Notes

William and Humbert is a Spanish company specializing in wines and sherries but also involved int bottling and importation of spirits. They were founded as a winery in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert (who lent their names to the company). In the latter part of the 20th century, they undertook expanded operations, often with Dutch counterparts.

Gran Duque de Alba Oro Brandy is a premium, longer-aged brandy using their solera method of oak-aging. They say the average is 20 years and describe the taste as "a glossy blend of old mahogany."
