Proof66 Notes

Chateau du Breuil 8yr Calvados is actually a younger expression from the Breuil line aged for 8 years in oak prior to bottling.

Chateau du Breuil is located in Normandy of Pays d'Auge, France. It began as a manor for noble families but was refurbished for distilling and spirits in . Today, they say 22,000 apple trees surround the chateau, which is the base for their cider and ultimately their calvados. They are aged on site in oak barrels in the cellar of the chateau. Chateau du Breuil Fine Calvados carries the AOC Pays d'Auge designation, meaning it was made with 100% apples from Normandy. It is aged for 2 years in oak prior to bottling.
