Gin - Traditional Dry
DH Krahn Gin
This spirit has yet to face the slings and arrows of the rating agencies.
DH Krahn gin is a traditional dry-styled gin distilled by a small microdistillery in New York. It's made with a "secret" maceration process (meaning it the alcohol is sort of steeped in botanicals much like making tea). In another unusual move where various brands brag of multiple distillations, Krahn uses a "single pass" distillation in order to better preserve the flavors (made possible by their Supfler System alambic still). The gin is rested in steel (another unusual move) in order to "mellow" the flavors.
