Proof66 Notes

Dry Fly gin is distilled from the same winter wheat as the vodka, then infused with traditional gin botanicals... including some Washington State apples!

A small-batch gem that offers a nice departure from the London Dry standards that I appreciate (Hendricks/Brokers). The requisite juniper is surely there, but it's the presence of the other ingredients (mint, apple,) in just the right measure that makes drinking Dry Fly so enjoyable. I buy it for $22. US, and consider that a righteous price for such quality. Heartily recommended.

Bottle: Nice heavy glass, real cork top, nice bottle design that would look good on a shelf Nose: Wheat, Juniper and Mint mix with lemongrass and apples Flavor: Flat, wheaty, hint of mint and apple, slight juniper finish, smooth on the tongue, easy to drink Overall: Great for a gin drinker that is getting bored of typical juniper varieties. Tried neat and the wheat was present and different, acquired taste to determine if its best mixed or by itself. Tried with soda, and lemonade(all i had on hand) and the pronouced flavors of wheat and apples came through, very light juniper gin. Id suggest a bottle, but ill stick to my Hendricks for flavor and Brokers for the price.

This is a truly exceptional gin. Mint and Hops give it some unique flavors, while still preserving the essence of what a true gin should be.

An intensely interesting gin in a that is a refreshing departure from the usual. Skillfully made, with a very creative blending of spices and flawless execution in distillation. This is a top notch gin - better than some that cost a good bit more and is cheaper than many in the premium category. Different enough that even gin haters will like it and just familiar enough for gin lovers to embrace it as a new beginning in gin adventures.
