It is actually pink. It's intensely spicy with peppery and juniper notes; it finishes dry with a huge bite. Not a gin for everyone, but pretty ballsy.

This only competed in a 4 gin tasting, but I don't think another dozen entries would have got this puppy any higher than dead last. It had an astringent taste and a brackish aftertaste when neat. Tonic muted some of these unpleasantries but it ruined anthing resembling a martini taste. Maiden's Prayer din't have much of a prayer with this thing either. Save the wood for scotch!!! Stick to the plain vanilla.

This is not my favorite when it comes to gin. It has a great fragrance, but that is about all. I tried it with tonic and found it to be harsh, and acidic with far too much burn. Same story when mixed in a martini. Even in a drink as good as a Maiden's prayer, Rogue just couldn't help introducing a huge unpleasant burn.

I really wanted to like this, as I try to stay true to my NW roots!! However, it smelled like my hair straightener and tasted like I drank a bottle of my moms expensive perfume. The first sip of this in a gin and tonic was promising, but it finishes very bitter. It was a fine drink, just not for me. As a martini, I was not a fan. Tasted like Christmas had gone wrong. Strong juniper scent, and horrible taste. Almost like drinking Christmas potpourri.

Ugh...I really don't like this stuff. My sniffer is not officially trained, but this stuff tastes like rotten flowers with a hint of moldy cinnamon. Thinking maybe the recipe needs some adjusting.

I always love it when these distilleries try something interesting. And I really appreciate the local Oregon famous Pinot Noir grapes being used in the locally produced gin.

But the flavor... well, I think this one needs some work. It's interesting but a bit offputing. Definitely needs some help from other flavors in a cocktail.
