Proof66 Notes

To complement their iconic flagship brand, Tanqueray No. 10 gin was first launched in 2000 to appeal specifically to martini drinkers. It has a much heavier, classic juniper scent.

Tanqueray No. 10 is my absolute favorite London Dry. Very juniper forward with strong notes of citrus peel - orange, lemon, and grapefruit. Perfect for making martinis and other craft cocktails. Not a good choice if you're just looking for something to mix with tonic water, though.

I like this about the same as the regular Tanqueray. It is basically its lower priced brethren, but on some mild steroids. The juniper is even stronger, as is the citrus. Still does not have a lot of complexity, but it is really great in a mix, particularly one with lots of elements as it will not let the juniper get lost.

The power of Pine-Sol! It's a crazy citrus forward drink, tons of juniper, and a lot of pine smell. Christmas in a glass, basically. Makes great gin and cranberries but a little too much "personality" for most cocktails. Personally I find the pine odor too intense, I wouldn't use it in a martini either.

4.6 stars less juniper, more citrus than the regular tanqueray, smooth, very sweet. very nice, best as a martini or with a low sugar tonic like fentimans light.

Obviously taste is a very subjective thing but this is my favorite gin, bar none.

Nice, upscale traditional-style gin when your looking to serve a "cut above" gin martini.

Excellent bottle of gin. Especially more so if you enjoy the trade mark juniper berry taste that expect from a bottle of gin. If you strongly dislike the juniper taste i discourage one from buying this but if you are a true gin taste lover, you should try this bottle out. It makes for excellent martinis and has a very deep juniper taste.

Positivly one of the top five or six gins but not what you might expect from Tanqueray. The juniper is out front but is challenged by a strong citrus flavor.
