Proof66 Notes

Briottet SAS was founded in 1836 by the man Edmon Briottet. The company was founded upon aperitif spiced wine liqueurs but came to be known for fruit liqueurs, particularly their creme de cassis. The business is still family-owned within the Briottet family to this day.

Briottet Creme de Cassis is their most famous liqueur, today comprising roughly 60% of their total sales. It is based upon the classic black currant from Burgudy, France in a "maceration" (meaning the currants are soaked for a time in the the distillate).
