Jack Daniel's Winter Jack Tennessee Cider
This is a Tier 1 score in the Liqueur category. It means the spirit has won the highest recommendation at least once and probably many times.
Winter Jack Tennessee Cider is a blend of their flagship No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and what they call an "original family recipe" of spices and apples. It is a lower-proofed liqueur spirit that they suggest is best served warmed. It is available only for a limited time during the holiday season.
Jack Daniel Distillery began in 1863 when Jack Daniel--working for one Dan Call--purchased the still he was working at when he was 13 years old. It was registered in 1866 giving rise to the claim of the "oldest distillery in the US." The still is located at a cave where "cave spring water" that is "virtually iron free" is used for making the whiskey.
