The Marie Brizard Company was founded in France in 1755 in the Bordeaux wine region. It was founded upon an anise flavored (black licorice) liqueur and then spread into other spirits.

A different spin on the usual Gran Marnier or Cointreau flavor profiles. Less sugar but a bit more syrup and orange. Interesting enough to recommend having a bottle on hand to play with; competitive or cheaper than the above in price.
