Proof66 Notes

O3 Premium Orange liqueur is a more recent launch from the De Kuyper group that is more known for value buys and sweeter schnapps. They say this liqueur is made from "beautiful Brazilian oranges" and recommend it for margaritas in place of triple sec or other orange liqueurs.

fulfills all the same functions as Cointreau for way less money. real orange taste, maybe too sweet for some, but no chemical aftertaste, clear with a thick body, goes well in a margarita or cosmo or many other drinks. good value.

For the price, you can't beat it. My favorite cocktail is a Pomegranate Cosmopolitan. When I'm feeling flush, I'll buy Cointreau. It seems to have a kind of martini-esque "bite" that's lacking with 03. 03 is velvety smooth and a bit syrupy, but it works well in Cosmos and Margaritas. MUCH better than Triple Sec. Much less expensive than Cointreau.

As good as Cointreau but without the medicine finish. A touch bit sweeter but well makes a well balanced margarita. Mixes well and still not to sweet to be sipped a little at a time.

I too think this may be a bit syrupy. I use this as my go to triple sec and usually dont add any other sweetener. Brazilian liqueur with 3 types of oranges.

Rich. Reminds me of chocolate oranges for some reasons. The orange flavor is heady and potent. Quite velvety... This might come off as syrupy to other people, but I personally enjoyed it. Perfect for holiday drinks!
