Proof66 Notes

Opal Bianca Sambuca is a recent product of the Francoli family of Northern Italy, which is meant to be an alternative to their signature Opal Nera Black sambuca. It was launched in 2001 from a base alcohol made from sugar beets (giving it, we presume, a rhum agricole-like texture). It is anise (black licorice) flavored from a variety of herbs that include star anise, green anise, elderflowers, and lemon.
