Proof66 Notes

Banks 5 Island rum is named first for explorer Sir Joseph Banks and secondly for the five islands that are the source of this blended rum: Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana, Java, and--the fifth island--Barbados. (A notional sixth island might be New York where the company is located.) The rums are aged between 3 and 12 years before undergoing a filtration (hence the clear color) and bottling.
