Proof66 Notes

Belle of Dayton 1775 Colonial Reserve rum is a traditional style American rum made from a base of molasses using—according to the distillery—an 18th century recipe. They use a blackstrap molasses, which is heavier, darker style more closely associated with dark rum. It's bottled at a slightly higher 84 proof relative to the great majority of 80 proof rums on the market.
