Liquor Review Notes:
Calico Jack rums are imported from the Caribbean and bottled under the supervision of White Rock Distilleries of Maine, whom we have listed here as the producer. Beam Inc purchased the label in April of 2012 and now owns the Calico Jack brand--as far as we know, White Rock still acts as bottler.
According to a review at the Rum Howler, the name Calico Jack is attributed to John Rackham who was an 18th century pirate sometimes credited with first flying the classic "jolly roger" pirate flag.
Calico Jack Spiced rum is their flavored expression, where they say "island spices" infuse a lightly aged rum.
