Proof66 Notes

Treaty Oak rum is the first product launched by Graham Barnes Distilling and represents the high standards of the "Treaty Oak"--described as a 500 year-old oak tree planted to commemorate a treaty with American Indians. It's made with sugar from "the last operating sugar mill in Texas." Treaty Oak Barrel Reserve rum is aged for at least 2 years (in traditional, 53-gallon barrels so no accelerated aging here) on site prior to bottling, giving the rum an oak-driven cast and color.

Graham Barnes Distilling was founded in 2007 and named for a reputedly 500 year old oak tree in Austin, TX.
