Proof66 Notes

Alma de Agave tequila is made in Xamay from a family recipe that has been handed down for 80 years. The Blue Agave is grown on the shores of Lake Chapala that they claim provides the agave with unique characteristics. The agave is cooked in traditional brick ovens and blended down with mineral water. The bottles are hand-blown glass--meant as homage to their homeland--and topped with Caoba wood with Corteza tree cork.

Alma de Agave Anejo tequila is the "aged" expression (that is, "aged") having aged in oak for 18 months. They suggest it in cocktails featuring dairy products (cream, like a Tequila Alexander) or neat.
