Official liquor review for Cabo Wabo Reposado 100% Agave Azul Tequila

Cabo Wabo tequila was originally regarded as the tequila of Sammy Hagar--legendary rocker. In 2007, Hagar sold 80% interest of the brand to Gruppo Campari with Skyy Spirits as the marketer and importer to the United States. Sammy Hagar is still involved in the marketing of the popular tequila.

The tequila itself is produced in Mexico by Impulsora Rombo, who now make tequila for Cabo Wabo as well as under a few other lesser known labels such as Terra Firme and Fineza.

Cabo Wabo Reposado tequila is aged four to six months in oak that we're told "delivers an distinctive experience that even the most discerning drinkers will find refreshing..." It is suggested for sipping or "top-shelf" margaritas.
