Proof66 Notes

El Padrino (or "the godfather") appears to be a line of tequilas imported and owned as a specific label for Total Wine and Spirits though the trademark is owned by El Padrino Spirits. It is produced by Destiladora del Valle who produce a number of well-regarded specialty tequilas by contract.

El Padrino Anejo tequila is their "aged" (or "anejo") epxpression, which means it will have aged in oak for at least 1 year prior to bottling. This gives the normally clear tequila a deep color and whiskey-like complexity, generally recommended for sipping and contemplation.
