Casa Cuervo is, of course, one of the most well-known tequila brands in the world. Their labels include Jose Cuervo, 1800, Gran Cententario, and Maestro. The name "Gran Cententario" is meant to commemorate the 1895 turn of the new century. The tequila is made in small batches from 10-12 year-old agave plants.
Gran Centenario Reposado tequila is aged in "never before used" French Limousin oak.
The Gran Centenario brand is owned and managed by Proximo Spirits.

By: Phizbin (166) 9/26/2012Cheers!(1)The aroma on this is gorgeous... flowery and chardonnay-like. I could smell it all night. The taste is warm and buttery smooth. The hint of age mixes perfectly with the agave. I suppose this is a shot-lover's tequila because it tosses back with all flavor and no burn but it seems a shame to shoot it. My only complaint is a rather short finish and my guess is that it would vanish a bit inside of a cocktail. But excellent construction!
