Vodka - Corn
This score falls in the 94th percentile of all spirits in the Vodka category and is an example of the very best in its class.
Anestasia vodka is made from a base of grain and blended down with Cascade Mountain spring water, imply an approachable vodka with a mineral quality to the water. It is based upon the Ukrainian tradition of vodka making (though this vodka uses corn rather than the typical Ukrainian wheat). It is filtered through charcoal (customary), lava rock (less common), and quartz (very uncommon) for smoothness. Perhaps more importantly, it is presented in a stunning, abstract-art style bottle. It was designed by Karim Rashid who meant to invoke the shapes of the letters V and K in "vodka." The vodka is made by contract at the Bendistillery in Oregon. The label is owned by Yuliya Mamontova of NumBrands, inc.
In our own tasting of AnestasiA, we found it's highest and best use mixed with cranberry juice finished off with a squeeze of lime.
