Liquor Review Notes:
Bakon vodka is one of the only--and perhaps the first--bacon flavored vodka in the world... perhaps the only meat flavored spirit in the world.

The origin is said to lie in a desire to create a "savory vodka" in opposition to the many fruity and sweet flavored vodkas on the market today. The vodka is made from a base of Idaho potatoes. Then the bacon flavor is blended with the spirit with the distiller promising a "delicious crisp slice of peppered-bacon." They recommend it for Bloody Mary cocktails. (From the marketing website

In 2010, the Beverage Testing Institute said Bakon was "a must try for Bloody Marys."

Bakon Vodka was awarded the Silver Medal at the 2010 SIP Awards.

Overly smoky an not a lot of bacon flavor neat. Mixed is where this finds its place. Bacon bloody Mary quite tasty

Not convinced meat infused liquor is a good idea ever. This smells just like bacon bits on a salad bar. Maybe it should be used salad dressings. It tastes a bit better than it smells but, after swallowing, I find myself wondering why I would ever drink it again. Maybe cook with it; thats my best recommendation.
