Infused Vodka - Berry
Cîroc Red Berry Vodka
This is a Tier 3 score in the Vodka category. It means critics recommended the spirit but it will be a value brand or have an exotic taste.
Ciroc vodka is distilled from grapes using fruit from both the Mauzac Blanc and Ugni Blanc wine grapes. It was one of the first grape-based vodkas on the market causing no small amount of controversy in the spirits world. The vodka is distilled to minimum specifications of alcohol levels to maximize the grape aromatics and flavors. It is properly pronounced: "Shir - ROCK".
Ciroc Red Berry vodka is a flavored vodka infused with natural strawberry and raspberry flavors.
Drink Hacker gave Ciroc Red Berry an A rating saying simply, "Lovely."
Ciroc is apparently distilled at a self-named distillery that also shares space with cognac producers. The product is wholly owned by Diageo in the town of Chavernverurx. (From Tristan Stephenson) The Ciroc vodka takes center-stage in the vodka wars raging about the definition of vodka and whether or not it can be made from a grape base.
