Valley Spirits is located in California founded by Lee Palleschi. The venture is centered around locally produced ingredients that are grown organically. The spirits themselves are meant to appeal to the "discerning spirit connoisseur." Palleschi himself claims to have learned every aspect of distilling at the feet of master distillers all over the world.

Cold House Vodka is a spirit they term as "super premium top shelf vodka priced low." It is made from a grain base of white corn and wheat with a traditional charcoal filtration to remove impurities.

In their 2011 review, the Beverage Testing Institute called Cold River a "A tasty balanced vodka."
