Liquor Review Notes:
Graham Barnes Distilling was founded in 2007 and named for a reputedly 500 year old oak tree in Austin, TX. They claim the distinction of being Texas's only company that both "distills and brews" their own liquor, seeking to control "every aspect of production."
Graham's Texas Tea Vodka--launched in 2010--is named for Daniel Graham of the Graham Barnes Distillery (and of course his home state of Texas). It is made with Nilgiri Black Tea--chosen after a personal inspection and tasting of over 50 teas by the master distiller--with Turbinado sugar (also from Texas) and natural Texas spring water.
From the blogspot entry from Daniel Graham himself, it appears the vodka is "brought in" rather than distilled on-site (unlike their Treaty Oak Rum).
We list the Treaty Oak Rum website as the main website for Graham Barnes Distilling, though at the time of this writing the Texas Tea Vodka was only acknowledged on the blog.
