Daucourt Martin is primarily known as a cognac producer but also produces specialty spirits such as Jean Marc vodka and X-Rated fusion liqueur. The name represents the combination of the names Jean Marc Daucourt (cognac) and Todd Martin of the former liquor conglomerate Allied Domecq.
Jean Marc XO vodka is the a French production made from a wheat base. It is made from a base of four specific varieties of wheat: Ysengrain, Orvantis, Azteque, and Carguer in a process that is supposed to eliminate the chaff in order to reduce bitterness in the flavor profile. It is blended with mineral water from the estate spring filtered through limestone. There is a final process of "micro-oxygenation" to improve the flavor profile and a "secret" charcoal filtration process.
