You do get a pretty clean and relatively flavorless vodka for a meager $9.99 a fifth. Taste isn't much outside of bare essential minerals and despite the distillation it still burns a bit going down straight. Better and smoother than any other vodka in the price range but realistically this isn't much to wrote home about. Hangover is nonexistent as expected due to being distilled seven times

Tried this one based on Yankel W's review. Bottom shelf vodka has always been a confusing endeavor for me. There are SO MANY, and SO MANY bad ones. My usual vodkas are Tito's, Stoli, Reyka or Covington, but sometimes you just need a decent quality mixer or sipper on a budget. This one foots the bill. Light sweetness to go along with the ethanol kick. Much better than any $10 vodka I've tried. 3.5 stars plus a .5 for exceptional value.

Smells like the real thing -ethanol. Quite mild/smooth. As advertised. I took off one star for the plastic bottle. Quite inexpensive ($.29/ounce) but worth the effort. Not rotgut. Not much point in paying premium prices for 190 proof neutral grain spirits diluted with water. If organic, might be worth more. Not for any other reason. US distilled, meaning that the only additive allowed by law is citric acid - unlike the European vodkas. Not Stoli - thankfully. Taken with a frozen lime slice - but not chilled. Some might prefer the mouth assault of a more "manly" vodka. The PET bottling is a PITA. Truth be told, the PET is probably safer than the common PRC junk glass which may contain lead. Note that this liquid is from the same distillery/merchandiser and grain with same water added as Rain vodka. Perhaps it is a case of glass bottle versus PET?

A generic vodka, smooth enough, but not a lot of flavor. A fifth is $20 in my area though and for that there are far too many better vodkas available. I don't regret trying it, but can't justify the cost to quality ratio enough to buy again

Actually really surprised by this. It is very decent for the price tag. Smooth and almost sweet.

This is the best vodka for the price there is. I fooled 5 friends into thinking they were drinking grey goose and all the time it was Platinum 7x I loved it cause two of them are goose snobs and swear they can tell the difference in taste.

This is my go to mixing vodka on a budget. I can pick up a handle for $14 where l am. It is the smoothest vodka l have had. Once chilled it is as smooth as water in my opinion. Doesnt have a lot of character or boldness, just a smooth vodka that isnt poorly made like other in its price range. Can hold its own against ultra premium vodkas out there.

I think this is the best "bland" vodka I've tried over Skyy and Pinnacle. It's a little lighter feel and finish. Flavor is completely bland though. I'd rather step up to some Luksusowa, Reyka, Finlandia, Tanqueray Sterling, Stoli, something like that, with some actual character. Some of this cheap vodka is just so generic tasting. This is the best of the generic stuff I've consumed but I won't buy any of them again.

Platinum 7X Vodka is made from American corn, but the distillation process leaves it with essentially no flavor. It tastes like, well, vodka. Pure, clean ethanol. There's not much point in drinking it straight (although if you do, it should be ice cold). However, it makes for a solid mixer, and works well in the standard vodka drinks like a Screwdriver or Cape Cod. So why bother to discuss this vodka? Because it's cheap! I've seen it on sale for under $9, even cheaper than my standby Sobieski. At that price, you usually get something that tastes like rubbing alcohol. But Platinum 7X is significantly better than that. This vodka is amazing.  Bargain-basement price, but smoothness rivaling or exceeding that of vodkas 3-5x its price.  1.75L can be had for $16-20 in Virginia. Taste/flavor suffers a little (if drank neat), due to the 7 distillations, but it is well worth it in the smoothness it brings as well as the lack of any hangover the following day. Well done, Buffalo Trace.  BT's excellence in the bourbon world has obviously spilled over (no pun intended) into their other spirits.
