The Buffalo Trace Distillery is best known for making bourbons but has also recently gotten involved in vodka production.

Rain Organics vodka is made exclusively from organic white corn (corn being a key ingredient in bourbon production and something Buffalo Trace knows a lot about). It undergoes an extensive 20-day production technique that includes cold-water sweet mash fermentation, seven distinct distillations and a polishing stage that adds pure limestone water."

Rain Organics Cucumber Lime vodka is a new line of flavors--a curious combination that we ended up describing as "other"--that is described as surrounding "yourself with the relaxing comforts of a spa retreat."

Rain Cucumber Lime Vodka was named Best Flavored Vodka at the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
