John Dewar and Sons owns the Aberfeldy label and it was originally opened in 1896 by John Dewar himself. Today it produces single-malt whiskies on behalf of the Dewars label. Aberfeldy lies on the shores of Loch Tay, a beautiful S-shaped lake.

The 12yr provides the "signature notes" of the Dewars scotch blends and is the flagship scotch of the Aberfeldy distillery.
