American Whiskey - Unaged/Moonshine
Batch 206 Distillery See Seven Stars Moonshine
This is a Tier 3 score in the Whiskey category. It means critics recommended the spirit but it will be a value brand or have an exotic taste.
See Seven Stars Moonshine is said to come from a "100 year old mashbill straight out of " South Carolina. It is made from a blend of Washington-grown malted barley and Columbia River basin corn. It is bottled at a very moonshine-like 100 proof that we can only imagine gives rise to the name, which is undoubtedly what will happen if one drinks too much of it.
The 2013 Beverage Testing Institute called it "fiery and fruity."
