Proof66 Notes

BenRiach 10yr scotch "curiositas" uses a "heavily peated" barley. They deem it a return to the traditional scotches of the 19th century produced in the Speyside.

The BenRiach Distillery--which translates as "hill of the red deer"--was founded by John Duff in 1898 using locally grown barley and spring water drawn from the site of the distillery itself.

Really nice, not Islay peaty but a good balance with a sweetish finish. Recommended.
