Official liquor review for Blanton's Straight from the Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Blanton's bourbon is a popular premium bourbon from Buffalo Trace that contains the signature, rye notes for which they are famous. It is named for Colonel Albert Blanton, who is said to have entertained his friends with bourbon from "Warehouse H." The idea of handpicked barrels turned into the 1984 launch of what they consider to be the very first bourbon entry into the "ultra-premium whiskey market."

Blanton's "Straight From the Barrel" bourbon is crafted very specifically for connoisseurs who are "familiar with cask strength whiskey." It is uncut, unfiltered, and obviously unblended with any sort of water. We presume that if you took a ladel and filled a pitcher right from the warehouse, this is what would come out. They say it has an "enorous taste profile" that "reaches depths of flavor found only in the rarest of spirits." Because it's straight from the barrel, there will be some variation in the listed proof.
