This whisky is superb. It is smooth, with so much flavor(s) sans all that musty bog smoke. It is absolutely one to keep handy for spoiling oneself. If you drink this and then Bushmills Classic, you will fall down fainted from the difference. I might say that there is some similarity (designedly) in the Black, but truly no comparison. The SM 10 is superb. It is fine at the first nose to the last drop. I also rate Geo. Dickel 12 highly. I keep my Dickel in a old emptied Bushmills SM 10yr bottle in my desk since it is so handy. I don't know much about vanilla beans and Granny Smith apples or pears in the bottle, but there is some fine whisky in there. I think the Master Distiller is responsible for the marvellous blending of the single malts that go into the barrel. Credit where credit is due!

It's not got the Jameson sweetness of the standard bottle, and has more maturity and smoothness than the Black Bush, and the 16-year is disproportionately expensive for how good it is. A good middle ground. $40 in my area, and though I tend to prefer blends this did me just fine with one ice cube and a little sitting. I taste granny smith apples, smoke, a slight mellow burn and a bit of lemon peel.

4.1/5, a yummy whisky. It was one beautiful silky smooth note. I got typical oak flavors, toasted oak and vanilla were certainly there but it really reminded me of a California Chardonnay toasted oak barrel. Easy uncomplicated whisky experience

Pears. I smell and taste pears in my bottle of Bushmills 10. I didn't care for it at first but towards the end of the bottle my opinion really flipped. It really is quite good. I look forward to trying the 16.

I believe this is a good solid smooth whiskey, notes of dry fruit banana, honey, oak, and spice. No peat which is great in my book. Great balcony whiskey with a mild cigar. But i have to say my favorite is the 16 year.

I would rather drink this than most single malts from Scotland (although sometimes I'm just in the mood for peat). Bushmills 10 is my go-to drink when I want a sipping whiskey.

10 years worth of aging did this bushmills good, its much easier to drink and has hint of sweet compared to the standard bushmills bottle. The taste is much smoother almost like velvet, its a very relaxed drink. In the end you will feel your face start to warm up a tad.

The Bushmill's 10 year is definitely much smoother than the standard Bushmill's. Worth the little extra money comparitively.
