This Irish whiskey has a great presentation. I like the fancy magnetized box, the colors of the box and label, and the color of the whiskey as well. The nose seems to be a more mellow, sweeter version of the 16; I get caramel apple, lemon rind, and malted grains. On the palate I get raisins, green apple, toffee, lemon, and a bit of oak spice. The finish is very dry leaving oak, spice, and a red wine like fruitiness similar to the 16. I like it, and I think I got mine for a decent price ($104), but I agree with the Proof66 scoring of Bushmill's range. I too would rank the 16 year number 1, followed by the Black Bush in the number 2 slot(great value), and with the 21 year at number 3.

4.3,/5; nice sherry whiskey. Not as dry red as the 16. Which is a rosso. This lines up nicely with other sherry whiskey... Not quite up there with dalmore and glendronach but very close. Perhaps my favorite Irish whiskey to date

I was lucky enough to get to try this with Bushmill's Master Blender...a once in a lifetime experience to be sure.

Degbert, you poor soul. To say you like regular Bushmills, which is the Irish whiskey equivalent of paint thinner, better than its 21 year offering is absurd. This 21 yo dram, which I was fortunate enough to find at several Dublin pubs, is in the top three brown liquors Ive ever had. Yes, its that good!!! Its so smooth it melts in your mouth, tasting of sweet honey before fading off with ridiculously wonderful, yet subtle, notes of fine red wine. It is the best Irish whiskey Ive ever had, better than Midleton Very Rare and Bushmills younger sibling, the 16 yo, which is amazing in its own right. Please enjoy this neat; dont waste it over ice. This is truly a sipping Irish whiskey. Simply remarkable!

I usually agree (for the most part) with degbert's reviews on here, but we couldn't disagree more on this one. The nose to me has a blend of light fruit and oak. On the front, it has that classic Bushmills spice, but it immediately smooths out to a well-rounded blend on the finish. To say that standard Bushmills is better is a cry for help, but cheers around for varied palates and opinions.

The biggest disappointment of Austin's Whiskies on the World. Nose is reminiscent of diesel fuel, and on the palate it's smoky and bitter. Not at all what I expected, and I like regular Bushmill's. Don't waste your shekels.
