Proof66 Notes

Colorado Gold bourbon was first released in 2010 on a limited edition run of two barrels. It is aged for 3 years--a somewhat briefer aging implying a grain-forward flavor--in a #3 char (barrels are charred on the ligtht side at #1 and the heavy at #4).

Colorado Gold Distillery was founded in Cedaredge, Colorado by Austin, Texas native Peter Caciola partnering with head distiller Colorado State alumnus Mike Almy. They source their ingredients locally wherever possible and obtain their water from the grand mesa at 10,500 feet from natural snowmelt, implying a certain purity to their product.
