Proof66 Notes

Edradour 10yr single malt is the flagship expression from the small distillery.

Edradour Distillery was founded in 1837 in Perthshire as a "farm distillery" but there is a record prior to that date of a "Glenforres" distillery and indeed reports show that some bottlings were issued under that name. It is today one of the very smallest of distilleries with a reported capacity of 90,000 liters per year (12 casks per week). It was owned by Pernod Ricard until 2003 when Andrew Symington purchased it and it is now independent. (hat tip to Malt Madness)
