Miles better than Canadian Club and I personally found it superior to Crown Royal as well. A lot of buttery, brown sugar/caramel going on, very smooth and sweet. Perhaps only a dessert drink or in sweeter cocktails like a Washington Apple, but a good bargain compared to other Canadians of similar or lesser quality. I've found this as low as a measly $15, which is trash-liquor prices for what is a quite drinkable Canadian.

(3 out of 5). I'm hesitant to write this review, as I'm disagreeing with many fellow reviewers I tend to agree with wholeheartedly. Try as I might, I just can't seem to find a Canadian whisky that suits me. For me, Forty Creek seems more like a young Puerto Rican rum than a whisky. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's also very harsh. I'm okay with a good, spicy rye burn, but Forty Creek seems to just have a straight alcohol burn, which masks an otherwise good flavor profile. And with a few drops of water, the already low-proof drink is hyper-diluted. A whisky I want to love, but don't. About $23 in my area.

A Canadian whisky with a bit more richness, very nice. The first sip yields a bit more caramel and vanilla than I initially expected, the remainder of the experience was very similar to other Canadian whiskies.

Not bad Canadian whisky. thoughtfully made. maize, barley, and rye aged seperately in sherry oak casks and then blended together. better than crown royal and best on ice but drink quickly because at 40% it gets watered down quickly. pure apricot flavor.

Up until trying this, Crown Black was my Canadian Whisky of choice, but no more. Forty Creek not only descimates original Crown, it blows Crown Black out of the water. I would even argue that it's better than Crown Reserve. Smooth and sweet, with hints of vanilla and caramel, this is my new favorite Canadian Whisky.

Yet another chapter in the ongoing saga, "Why Do People Still Drink Crown Royal?" Rich, sweet, with a touch of a burn, this is Canadian with an attitude. Lovely stuff. So why, again, do people still drink Crown? I'm confused.

For Canadian whiskies, Ive only had Crown Royal to this point. I tried Forty Creek however, and I would take a bottle of this over CR any day. This is a very solid whisky that is inexpensive to pick up, and is even good as a staple whisky amongst the other more select bottles you may have. Im anxious to try Forty Creeks other models.

When nosed, this whisky has a floral and fruity aroma, with a hint of toffee. Upon drinking, you can taste the fruitiness and spicy motes with a subtle undercurrent of sweetness. It finishes nice and clean, doing it very smoothly. This is a great Canadian whisky.

This is good booze. I liked it better than many of the other whiskys I've tried.

A lot of things going on with this whiskey. I love the aroma--which has a nice aroma reminiscent fruit wood. A fine interesting aroma. The whiskey itself has some great flavor--I presume from the aging--but it's what I think is called a "hot whiskey." Even at 80 proof, it has a sharp, spicy, sting and burn finish that Crown Royal and other Canadian whiskies--while more boring--don't have.

I think this whisky will have some huge fans--I just don't happen to be one of them.
