Liquor Review Notes:
Glenfiddich Distillery was built with the "bare hands" of William Grant and his nine (nine!) sons in 1886. The distillery is independently owned by William Grant & Sons who also own the labels for Balvenie, Grant's blended scotch, Hendrick's Gin, and are also co-owners of the Highland Brands, which include The Famous Grouse, The Macallan, Highland Park, Black Bottle, and Gloag's London Dry. Today, Glenfiddich is the best-selling brand of single-malt scotch in the world. Glenfiddich is pronounced with a hard "-ck-" sound at the end like the "ick" in "icky." The word is translated from Gaelic as "valley of the deer."

The Glenfiddich 15yr is aged in all three sherry casks, American bourbon casks, and new oak. It is then placed in the "solera vat," which is always kept half-full and allows the different whiskies to "marry."

Great Value for scotch. Fruit, floral, smooth, a very nice 15 and very similar to the 18.

VERY GOOD STUFF... Reminds me a little of bushmills 16 from color to taste. Much better than the 12 year in my opinion worth the extra 15 to 20 bucks. Fruity but elegant . YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED .

Starts out on the nose with notes like an apple brown betty; cinnamon, brown sugar, and apples. Very sweet on the palate -- almost Irish Mist sweet, which is, for me, too sweet, with notes of pineapple and more brown sugar. I like sweet things, but straight Scotch should not come off like a dessert topping.

Just bought a bottle from work tonight. Very fruity, with just enough smokiness to remind you it is Scotch. Along with Oban 14, this is now a favorite of mine among single malts.

I feel reluctant to rate this too highly because of my relative inexperience with scotch, but this is the best liquor Ive ever tasted. Two cubes of ice and few minutes is all you need. I have long preferred bourbon and scoffed at scotch guys, because my experience with scotch had been limited to JW Red. No more. I am excited to try more scotches now because of this one. Im rating it five because it demands that you take it slowly and evaluate it - this will last. I know what scotch can be because of this bottle, and my score reflects that. Ive never been happier with an alcohol purchase.

Very smooth and tasteful drink. No dominance of any kind in flavours. It lasts a while in your mouth, but not too long. Price is good value for money.

A interesting complex and slightly challenging single malt especially for its relative cheapness. A safe, solid choice and a good buy for someone seeking something beyond their usual dram and not wanting to risk a lot of money. There is enough complexity and flavor for most with nothing too striking to be off putting in terms of style/taste. Good, interesting and unlikely to offend would be another way of putting it. Recommended.
