Proof66 Notes

Glengoyne 18yr single malt is a newer expression and appears to have perhaps replaced their 17yr label. It is aged in first-fill sherry casks, which will give the scotch a deep color and overtones of Spanish sherry wine.

Glengoyne Distillery became official (that is, legal) in 1833 but they claim more than 200 years of experience based upon illicit distilling that was rife in the area due to heavy taxes.
