Longmorn Distillery is a name taken for Maernanog who founded a small church that brought Christianity to Scotland. That church was Lann Marnoch that later came to be known as Longmorn.

Longmorn 16yr single malt has been re-packaged and re-launched by Chivas Brothers as part of a bid to enter the super-premium sctoch market; it replaces the 15yr expression. There is also a 96 proof version.
