Proof66 Notes

The Macallan 12yr Double Cask (not to be confused with their flagship 12yr Sherry Oak scotch) was released in 2016 and takes their signature sherry oak scotch and blends it with scotch aged in American oak (one has to presume ex-bourbon casks).

The Macallan Distillery was first licensed to sell whisky in 1824 by founder Alexander Reid (though—like most distilleries—it was probably producing illegally long before that).
