I enjoyed this just as much as Glenlivet 12 and probably a little more than Glenfiddich 12. I paid $26 for this gem and it was worth every penny. Great sipper, no ice or water needed! Incredible value!

A mild single malt, and fine for those who don't like "chewing the bog smoke". Obviously, a good whisky, but easily passed by with tastier American Bourbons or Tennessee whisky for flavor. Couldn't touch a Bushmills 10 yr. single malt in any category except it is a bit cheaper here.

For less than $25, this is a pretty good value whisky. On the nose and palate, you get baked apples, canned peaches, mild spice, and a healthy dose of toffee. Then it finishes a bit dry with the slightest hint of peat. To me, it feels a little rough, but that is to be expected from a 10 year old whisky in this price range. If you're on a budget, you might want to give this a try, but personally, I rather spend a little more for something more interesting and higher in quality like anCnoc 12YR, another affordable Speyside option.

Wanted to try this one because I've read repeatedly that this stuff is very good and that the main reason for peoples' reservations about it is the extremely low price. I once thought, as I'm sure many others did as well, that how can a single malt for 20 bucks be any good. This stuff is f'n awesome considering the price. I'd say that the quality per dollar is the highest of any scotch that I've had to date. Really reminds me of a more refined version of my Glengoyne 1996 with a hint of smoke in the profile. Buy it and try it with an open mind, you won't regret it.

I have tried this bottle a couple times now - it has a very mellow, light profile with a long, subtle smokey finish. The Scotch connoisseur might turn up their nose since this is so light, but for Scotch rookies, this is a great entry level bottle. Pretty good stuff.

Poured this on the rocks with a bit of water to fill the glass. The immediate taste was somewhat sweet and of licorice. As I nursed it for 40 minutes, a subtle sweetness was noted. The finish was very nice. This could be a candidate for a favorite. Must buy more!

Simple and very sweet malty taste. It does not impress much, but is very drinkable.

I've had this bottle sitting around on my shelf for 6yrs. I don't keep stuff I like more than 6 months. I finally finished the bottle tonight and I have never been so happy to be done with something.

It wasn't exactly bad such that I could just pour it down the sink. It just wasn't any good. It was peaty but without any of the rich characteristics that go with it. It tasted burnt and angry. With apologies to Alanis, drinking it was like drinking jagged little scotch molecules.
