Proof66 Notes

Teacher's Highland Cream blended scotch is renowned, venerable scotch that credits itself being one of the first blends available with the highest proportion of single malt scotches. They also claim to be the first cases delivered (legally) to the United States following the repeal of Prohibition.

I tried a bottle of this recently. The nose was smoke, the palate was smoke and the finish was smoke. Reminded me of burning piles of leaves in the Fall. I'm looking for someone to gift with it, as one dram was enough.

Solid, budget drum. Smooth and creamy with a little bit of heat. The short finish is well fruited with toffee, but nothing much to expect for 10$(local price). Decent blend, definitely best buy in its price range. Consider this 2 as 3 stars if you are on budget.

Wow, I paid $16 for a fifth, and I feel like I got my money worth. I'd rate it as better than Dewar's White Label for less money, and probably just as good or maybe better than Johnny Walker Red. I think I have found a new value Scotch friend. It's got a real Scotch taste, unlike some of the truly bottom shelf charlatans.

Its a descent blended scotch and its a great buy for the price. Smooth with little bit of heat while its going down and it has a light and pleasant taste. I will definitely buy it again. Try it you wont be disappointed. I usually like speyside single malts but this scotch earned a spot in my cabinet.

Fills a niche, I suppose, and vastly superior to JW Red, but nothing outstanding or remarkable, in my opinion. Be careful, though, it can be quite a surprising head-buster.

I love THC for the price.  THC has a solid, strong/moderate peat aroma.  Neat and sipped for tasting, THC has a lovely smooth-as-can-be taste.  There is no heat in taste. Indeed, it's not a single malt Scotch whisky.  However, for a mere $16, this is one of the best buys in all Scotch whisky-dom, much in the way that Black Bottle for $20 is also a Scotch whisky best buy.  For a rock bottom price at less than $20, there is little excuse not to have THC in one's whisky cabinet.  You'll get your money's worth, easily.

Good blend, real classic! Maybe was sometimes go lot smokier years ago. Now there is smoke, but it is more in backround. Grainy smooth creamy taste is dominating palate. Smokiness is not Islay rough style, more gentle and light version.

Although it's not the best blended scotch around, Teacher's Highland Cream is a smooth drinking blended scotch whisky. When whiffed, it has a mature apple scent with subtle hints of chocolate and/sweet toffee. For the finish there are notes of honey that is medium to long in length.
