Whyte & Mackay was founded in 1844 in Glasgow by James Whyte and Charles Mackay. They are proud of their "double marriage" process, which involves resting a blend of single malts in a sherry vats ("marrying"), smoothing with grain whisky, and then returning the new blend to the vat for additional aging. (Whyte & Mackay is in turn is owned by United Spirits of India, whom we list here as the owner.)

Whyte & Mackay Supreme 22yr blended scotch is one of the older offerings from the producer. It is a limited edition that carries just a "hint of oak" and a "gentle softness."
