Proof66 Notes

Caorunn Gin (pronounced: "kay-roon") is a Scottish gin made at the whisky distillery Balmenach in Speyside. It is made from grain--presumably barley--and infused with 11 botanicals including heather, bog myrtle, rowan berry, dandelion, and coul blush apple, which are all considered to be Celtic for a "truly Scottish gin." (We must assume—it being a gin—that there is a healthy dose of juniper as well.) The brand is overseen by Inver House Distillers, itself a subsidiary of International Beverage Holdings Limited

This is so good I almost had convulsions. A bright resiny nose -- really aromatic -- leads to one of the richest and smoothest gins I've had in a long time with definite resin and floral notes. It's not a traditional dry gin, but oh Scathach is it good.
