Proof66 Notes

Andalo Sallow Thorn liqueur is a Danish product said to have originated in 1889 when a smuggler Carl Petter Andersson accidentally mixed his contraband alcohol with a berry juice from sea buckthorn (sallow thorn) due to heavy seas. The result was the forerunner for this liqueur, which was later perfected by Andersson. Sallow thorn is a northern fruit similar to the kiwi, though the website mentions that serving it undiluted is "inedible."
