Proof66 Notes

Di Amore is a line of liqueurs that has changed hands on a few different occasions, currently residing with Sazerac. The source still appears to be Italy though the label declares it a product of Barton Distilling of Kentucky.

A decent cheap sambuca, worth it if you're looking to try something new. It's kind of in the neighborhood of a Fernet Branca or Jagermeister, an after dinner spirit with really intense herbal taste. As opposed to some other herbal liqueurs, this one is both very herbal and very sweet... sweeter than most bitter digestifs but also more herbal than the popular herbal drinks like Jager. Really intense flavor of licorice and anise, not for everybody, but a fun thing to try. Goes well with Italian food.
