Much less sweet than regular Grand Marnier, and much more towards the bitter orange end of things, this is a bit of a departure from the standard high-end orange liqueur or the standard Grand Marnier. If regular GM is French nobility, this is a grizzled French nobleman forced to join the French Foreign Legion because of an unspecified impropriety. He still knows how to behave in polite society -- probably better than you do -- but he also has some, how do you say, rough edges, yes?
