Proof66 Notes

Strega liqueur--first made in 1860 and recently celebrating its 150th anniversary--is an historic Italian herbal liqueur. It is named for the Italian word for "witch," for which Benevento is supposedly famous. It is made from "about" 70 different herbs and spices, one of them being saffron that creates the striking yellow color.

Just fabulous... Licorice is not overly powerful. Herbs are striking but not bitter. Just in the edge of too sweet. Way better than galliano.
