Proof66 Notes

The General Beauregard vodka label is a line that is made specifically (according to the press release in 2013) to "authentically connect with Southern males.” While not mentioned in the press release, we presume the vodka is named for Pierre Gustave Toutant-Beauregard, who in the late 19th century served as a general for the Confederate army in the American Civil War. The mint expression is made with the flavor profile of peppermint and designed for the Mint Julep cocktail (to the horror of Kentucky Derby bourbon drinkers). According to the filing with the federal Tax and Trade Bureau the label is produced by Terressentia out of South Carolina, a company that specializes in refining and flavoring spirits (we should note the press release notes a "Chicken Cock Distillers" as the producer but we tend to follow the TTB filing).
